OK, so it’s January and we all know what that means: lots of New Year resolutions about being more fit and active in 2023.
However, New Year resolutions are all well and good, but can you stick to them?
Keep it real!
My advice is to keep it real and set yourself realistic goals when it comes to exercise – that way you are more likely to stay on course.
Sensible nutrition
Take a look at nutrition and the impact it can have. By giving your body the correct fuel, you will find it will help any exercise programme.
Work out with a friend
Find someone to work out with and you will find it more fun, and there will be some extra motivation and encouragement to keep going throughout the year and to achieve your 2023 fitness goals.
Make sure you stretch
Stretching is crucial – it’s great for recovery, will help you avoid injury and also feels good.
Get outdoors
Getting outside and exercising in nature is great for the spirit and will help improve your mood.
